Back to Men in Formation

Mario Lainez

Background: Real estate, insurance and investments. Mario worked as a credit analyst for a multi-million dollar portfolio before joining the Salvatorians. He describes his religious calling as “love at first sight,” starting when he was a seven-year-old in Costa Rica. “I watched the priest hold Jesus at the altar,” he said, “and it was a love that lived inside of me all my life.”

Why the Salvatorians?
Mario believes Divine Province guided him to the Salvatorians. He had just learned that Salvatorians live under the shadow of the cross. He said, “Later that same day I read a bulletin with a biography of their founder, Fr. Francis Jordan, and I knew I could not go anywhere else.”

Hobbies: Biking, walking and swimming, and a fascination with photography.
